If you are new to the world of Professional Employer Organization, more commonly referred to as PEOs, here are the basics.
A PEO is service that provides human resource and benefit solutions to small and mid size organizations. The service is delivered under a co-employment relationship - what this means is that the client employees are filed under the PEOs employer identification number (EIN).
This relationship allows the client organization to have access to a multitude of services as well as economy of scale with respect to benefits. There are many other advantages to working with a PEO including hr technology, compliance expertise, risk mitigation, and help scaling your organization.
